Get Connected And Stay Connected With 4G Internet Technology

Sunday, February 28th, 2010

If you’ve ever walked around an apartment, classroom, hotel room, bar, club, mall, grocery store, or other indoor space, cell phone held high, scrutinizing the display screen for those precious little bars, you’re definitely not alone.  Seeking a signal can be the preoccupation of many weary cell phone users, especially when trying to get a 3G device to connect to the internet.  The problem can be even worse when it happens with your home Wi-Fi signal.  Trying to find exactly where to place the router so that everyone can get equal internet access is the modern equivalent to adjusting your old TV’s rabbit ears.  Moving a router a little to the left, a little higher, making adjustments, and never quite finding the right place to gain signal not only in the back bedroom, but on the front porch too, can be a nightmare.  Internet users are glad to have high speed broadband service, and greater access to invaluable information than ever before with the modern internet.  What leave a lot to be desired are the little inconveniences and troubleshooting issues that cause the actual usability of the internet to suffer.  With the latest generation of internet, 4G technology, a lot of these little inconveniences are finally being addressed.

With 4G technology it’s like having an internet signal anywhere you go, just as strong and reliable as that you use to make cell phone calls.  With 3G technology, handheld devices can take you to a version of the internet that comes nowhere near the capabilities of a laptop or other PC device, but the portability is what keeps people using this older version of mobile internet.  With the latest in wireless internet capability, this new generation brings fully capable mobile broadband to anyone within reach of a signal.  Also known as WiMax, or Worldwide Interoperability for Microwave Access, towers are set up to broadcast within a 30 mile range, and internet users are the ones rewarded.

Every wish your home Wi-Fi connection extended to wherever you wanted to use it?  The park, the bus, or even just the café across the street?  Now it does.  Using a mobile air card anyone can turn their laptop into a Wi-Fi hotspot no matter where they are.  Even for those who just wish for better wireless internet connectivity in the home, there are options for installing a simple WiMax ready modem and providing the entire household with unlimited, reliable internet.  Although this new generation of internet is mobile broadband speeds still apply.  Feel free to download, upload, transfer information and generally cruise the net at your speed, instead of grappling with a device no bigger than your fist for music, movies, and important files.

Having email and basic search capabilities is great, and extremely convenient from many 3G internet users.  However, not having full internet usage capabilities on the go is holding far more internet subscribers back.  Imagine the possibilities in a truly wireless world of where the internet could go, and go there with WiMax internet.

Easter 2009

Friday, February 26th, 2010

The mirthful mood of Easter 2009 is ready to influence you way before the arrival of 12th April 2009, the day when you will actually embrace Easter. It is the day of resurrection with all its spiritual aspect that reminds you of the grace of Jesus Christ and tells you about the way He renews and reaffirms the faith of His followers. Moreover, this festival celebrates the freshness of the spring season and gives honor to the revered goddess, Eostre, whose name has sheer resemblance with the Easter festival. And the link of Easter with freshness and fertility give us reasons to attach significance to Easter rabbits and Easter eggs. They portray the vibrancy that Easter brings with it. Therefore, in order to let this vibrancy linger on, get into the joyous groove of Easter 2009. You are sure to revel in its spiritual fervor that springs up endless joy to accompany you all through the year. So, sift through the collage of pages on our site and acquaint yourself with all that Easter 2009 is about to shower you with.

Easter is a joyous time for all souls. It celebrates the coming of spring and the resurrection of the Christ. Easter is more about fun and laughter and a celebration of life itself. The date of Easter Sunday changes every year. The first Sunday after the first ecclesiastical full moon is usually taken as the date for Easter Sunday. The ecclesiastical full moon generally occurs on or after 21st March each year, which is also celebrated as the day of ecclesiastical vernal equinox.

Easter Sunday Celebrations
The Easter holiday is a very popular holiday, which has been partially secularized, all over North America. Quite a lot of American families participate in the Easter celebrations by decorating Easter eggs and engaging themselves in Easter games. Usually the whole of Easter Sunday is spent playing various Easter games. Hunting for the Easter eggs is a very popular Easter game which is played on Easter Sunday. By Easter Saturday evening the Easter eggs are mysteriously hidden all over the house and the garden. This part is usually done by the elders of the family. The children are told that at night the Easter bunny hides the Easter egg and other goodies in an Easter basket which the children have to find out when they wake up in the morning. But why the Easter bunny does so, nobody knows! On a typical Easter Sunday, Americans visit the church in the morning for attending the Sunday Mass or Sunday church services. Then in the afternoon they go for an Easter feast or party.

Easter Sunday at the Church
On Easter Sunday, additional services may be offered in the church. Though they follow the same pattern as in other Sunday services, they also merge some festive flavor into the services. The music of the church service on Easter Sunday plays on a festive note. The usual musical instruments used in a congregation are often supplemented with brass instruments such as trumpets. Special banners and beautiful flowers like Easter lilies are used to decorate the church premises.

ekbtv.blogspot.com One pill makes you larger And one pill makes you small And the ones that mother gives you Don’t do anything at all Go ask Alice When she’s ten feet tall And if you go chasing rabbits And you know you’re going to fall Tell ‘em a hookah smoking caterpillar Has given you the call Recall Alice When she was just small When men on the chessboard Get up and tell you where to go And you’ve just had some kind of mushroom And your mind is moving low Go ask Alice I think she’ll know When logic and proportion Have fallen sloppy dead And the White Knight is talking backwards And the Red Queen’s “off with her head!” Remember what the dormouse said: “FEED YOUR HEAD

Falling Into Reveries, Pt.2 (fascinating Montmartre)

Wednesday, February 24th, 2010

When an artist is asked about a place he’d like to go it’s highly possible that he or she will answer Montmartre. This is an inspiring place where lived and created the most prominent people from the world of art. Nowadays this is a center of attraction for many tourists who are willing to have a look at the famous Sacre Coeur on the top of the Montmartre hill, admire the serenity and tranquility of the cosy streets or to have their portrait painted by one of the artists.

There are debates about the origin of the hill name. According to the version supported by the Christians in the 4th century Saint Denis along with the other Christians was executed on the top of the hill where the Romans built a temple to their god Mars called Mons Martius. After he was beheaded he picked up his head and carried it down the hill to the place where he was subsequently buried. Since that time the place was called Mont du Martyre (or Martyr’s Hill). Nowadays there’s a monument of St. Denis in the park not far from Sacre Coeur.

Up to the end of the 18th century the hill was a place of quarries. This fact explains the presence of mills and the appearance of such street names as Blanche («white») because the region was covered with white limestone powder.

With the passing time the quarries were closed and the mills were turned into restaurants and cabarets. 19th century is the beginning of the new, Bohemian, epoch.

It is interesting that up to the 19th century Montmartre remained a village in the Parisian outskirts. Its central square still preserves rural traits. It is square-shaped with a church in the center. Later on the church was turned into the Benedectine monastery. That is in this monastery where the cult of the saint heart (Sacre Coeur) was created. The Basilica was created on the occasion of it.

This Basilica dominates the whole city. A steep staircase leads to the top of the hill. But it’s really worth climbing! Breathtaking sights of Paris stretching at your feet are unforgettable. Besides there’s a great number of musicians, poets and of course artists searching for inspiration. The quintet of Parisian musical, literary and artistic Bohemia!

But do not forget that this is a functioning Basilica where Mass is celebrated daily. So all the believers have a chance to say prayers to the Sacred Heart or prayer of adoration.

Montmartre also shelters several wonderful museums, including a unique one where one can see about 300 original Dali’s artworks.

Don’t forget to pop into the famous Lapin Agile (Nimble Rabbit), a favourite meeting place of many artists and poets of the 19th century. This very rabbit inspired Picasso to paint his famous Au Lapine Agile which was sold in the 80th for nearly $50 million and now is on view at New York City’s Metropolitan Museum.

So don’t miss a chance to join the world of art and inspiration! To feel the atmosphere of the place in full measure book in at one of the cosy hotels which Montmartre hosts in abundance. Enjoy falling asleep and waking up in the real Heart Of Paris!

Origin of Chinese Horoscopes

Tuesday, February 23rd, 2010

The Origin of Chinese Horoscopes was based on the legend which in the sixth century B.C. the Jade Emperor invited all the animals in creation to a race, only twelve showed up: the Rat, Ox, Tiger, Rabbit, Dragon, Snake, Horse, Lamb, Monkey, Rooster, Dog, and Pig, and according to their places in the race, the Jade Emperor had given them each a number starting with the Rat who was the winner of the race. Since rat is the winner, rat is the first symbol of Chinese zodiac sign.

The twelve animals became the symbols of Chinese astrology and they symbolize every year which complete the Chinese horoscopes of every 12 years. Since then, the Chinese horoscope has been in use in the Orient for thousands of years, and it is still consulted by millions of people on a daily basis. Its twelve animal signs are similar to the twelve signs of the Western Zodiac, but are determined by the year you were born rather than the month.

In this Chinese horoscopes, it involves Chinese astrology that based on the lunar cycle which takes 12 years to complete. It includes also the five elements such as metal, water, wood, fire, and earth. This serves as the modifiers that subtle the nature of whatever they represent. And for balancing all the elements and all forces in the universe, the term Yin and Yang is responsible.

Here are the 12 animals that serves as symbols of Chinese Horoscopes which represent every year. The first one is the Rat was welcomed in ancient times as a protector and bringer of material prosperity. It is an animal associated with aggression, wealth, charm, and order, yet also associated with death, war, the occult, pestilence, and atrocities. The Ox is the sign of prosperity through fortitude and hard work. This powerful sign is a born leader, being quite dependable and possessing an innate ability to achieve great things. The Tiger is associated with good fortune, power, and royalty, is viewed with both fear and respect. Their protection and wisdom is sought after. The Rabbit is the fourth symbol which make ideal diplomats or politicians.

In Chinese astrological thought, a “rabbit person” is graceful, cultured, well-mannered, articulate, talented, and ambitious. They are virtuous, reserved, and have excellent taste. The Dragon is the only mythical creature in the Chinese zodiac. In China, dragons are associated with strength, health, harmony, and good luck; they are placed above doors or on the tops of roofs to banish demons and evil spirits. The snake is usually considered attractive, wise and enchanting. The Snake person loves books, music, clothes, fine food and wine; but with all their fondness for the finer things in life, their innate grace and elegance gives them a dislike for frivolities, small minds and foolish talk. The Horse personality is often willing to give as well as expect a lot of liberty. These people are extremely independent and confident. The horse person is very quick-witted, inquisitive and determined. The Goat or Sheep is thought to be the most artistic or creative sign of the zodiac. The Sheep is artistically talented and has a great sense of fashion.

The Monkey is the most versatile sign of the Chinese zodiac. Such people are often inventors, plotters, entertainers and the creative geniuses behind anything ingenious, including mischief. The Rooster is usually very observant. They are brave and resilient. The Dog is Loyal. He is the one who people are most likely to turn to when they need help. The dog person will come through every time. And The Pig, is usually an honest, straightforward and patient person. They are a modest, shy character who prefers to work quietly behind the scenes. When others despair, they are often there to offer support. This type of person is reserved with those they do not know too well, but as time passes and they gain confidence, those around them may discover a lively and warm-hearted person behind that mask of aloofness.

These are the twelve animal sign that completes the Chinese Zodiac sign.
